If it’s Tuesday it must be Salzburg and that was just were we headed on the next leg of our trip. Trains in this area are great and we got settled in our hotel easily and got right back out to explore. We had a room right near the birthplace of Mozart and hiked up to the Fortress Hohensalzburg Castle. Later that day after dinner a beautiful sunset view from the bridges spanning the Salzach river. The next day was the “Sound of Music” bus tour bringing us to many of the locations for the movie and lots of information about the real story of the Von Trapp Family.
