One of my favorite bike rides is through Newburyport MA to Plum Island. I would always look forward to seeing the landmark of the Pink House early in the morning. There is plenty of information about the history of the house and those that wanted to save it. Over the past year there were post and news stories of its demise and yet always some hope of it being salvaged. As of yesterday on social media I saw that it was torn down. I would always take a new view of it as I passed by, be it cloudy sky or brilliant sun. I am sure my ride will be a little less interesting without it.
