Last Thursday night I was covering the Lowell Girls Inc “Fuel Her Fire Event” held at the Whistler House Museum of Art. The event featured the Carol Duncan Dedication & Holiday Auction. This year’s event was very special to many at Girl’s Inc. and the surrounding community celebrating the late Carol Duncan as their Strong, Smart and Bold Leader. Carol served as Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell Executive Director from 1991 until 2013. Under her leadership, the organization flourished, developing new and innovative programs focusing on literacy and STEAM while raising over $400,000 to create a new Teen Center Program.
