The second day of our trip to Banff our clan left early and met at the Banff Gondola for an morning ride. I expected a ski area but the gondola is just for a scenic view. The wildfires in Jasper Alberta were contributing to a smoky haze to the skies but it was clear enough to enjoy the view. No serious hiking here for me as the boardwalk brings you to the observation area. The big plus was the Starbucks at the base so this lightweight tourist got his treat.
