This past weekend I enjoyed a Lowell Walk through Little Canada with our guides Dick Howe, Charlie Garguilo, Bob Forrant and Yun-Ju Choi. We started at the Coalition for a Better Acre offices and strolled through the Moody Street area and several side streets that made up the Little Canada neighborhood. Make sure you get a copy of Charlie Garguilo’s book Legends of Little Canada. A story of the deconstruction of a neighborhood and his later efforts to ensure people would have decent housing and a fair chance to earn a living and make a happy life for themselves.
