Just back from a family trip to Bend Oregon. I had been in Bend back in 2011 and there has been a noticeable growth in the community but the downtown changed little to me and I enjoyed revisiting the shops, coffee stands and parks. Meeting with family and my granddaughters at the in-law’s vacation home was the big draw and having a little free time for some exploring this oasis in east Oregon was the bonus. My early morning bike ride got me up close with some deer that had very little concern for my camera. The downtown provided a great view of the Deschutes river and we later toured around with a visit to the Old Mill District.
