I participated in the Brush Art Gallery 4×4 for Education event this weekend. I enjoyed submitting my own work from my Plum Island Salt Marsh view and buying my own ticket (at the last minute) to receive some artwork for myself. Participants buy $25 tickets online, or at the gallery as I did to win a work of art. Names are drawn at random at the event and your place in line is determined by the drawing. It’s like a raffle except everyone who purchases a ticket wins a canvas. The Four by Four raises funds for the Brush Scholarship fund and Special Perspectives. Of course I had the last ticket but very happy with my selection done by Artist/Photoblogger/Marketing Specialist Tammy Dohner. I actually captured a view of the woman who took my 4×4 home. I hadn’t realized it till I reviewed my images and I hope she enjoys it.
