Just back from a quick trip to Washington DC to see family and enjoyed a tour for night views of the US Capitol, White House, World War II Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the Iwo Jima Memorial.
No fancy equipment just a nice little Panasonic Lumix ZS100 point and shoot camera. You could do all these views yourself with the latest cell phones these days. We took the tour with DC Nation Tours but there are several in the area. I enjoyed all the little back stories our guide provided and be prepared for some walking but nothing rigorous.

Outstanding views, especially MLK JR and Lincoln. I like the inclusion of silhouettes of people in several views.
