Christmas Tree Smokestack at the Wannalancit Mills Lowell MA

ChristmasSmokestack1ChristmasSmokestack2

For years I have looked upon the Christmas Tree Smokestack at Wannalancit Mills in Lowell MA during the holidays.

I found the opportunity this week to capture it on a misty foggy night from the ground.

But I always wanted the overhead view from Lowell’s highest building site.

With the help of some friends at UMASS Lowell I received permission to get some views atop the Fox Hall Dormitory from the 18th floor for a spectacular sunset.

Also thanks to Farley White Interests a commercial real estate firm providing a beautiful site for the holidays.

      Thank you.
Actually it is from top of Fox Hall Residence at UMass near LeLachuer Ball Park.
I may be doing some prints so check back for details.

I was referring to the ground level (third down on the left) shot from (now that I look at it) the Bridge St. Bridge, in the middle of the river with the Riverwalk on the left.

        But I’ll definitely check back.

Actually that was from the bridge over the Northern Canal on Aiken St near the Notinis building.

I love it. I left Lowell over 20 yrs ago and never knew they did this. Lived right across from there. Thank you for your beautiful depiction. Would love to buy a nice print for my Living room. I would keep that up all year.

Kevin I know you must be one of Ken and Theresa’s sons. They were dear friends of mine in the early 70’s at Northmeadow. Many Happy memories. I have been on Hilton Head for 36 years now. Your photos are fantastic.
